Foods which are Highly Recommended for Growing Children
A nutritious diet is one of the most important things for the growth of a child. Children needs for nutrients and minerals are different from adults’. During the growing stage, the body requires specific vitamins and minerals for proper development.
Most of the parents find it difficult to prepare healthy meals for their kids due to a busy schedule. Because of your busy life, if you are offering processed foods to your kids, you are definitely making their life worse.
If you do not have time to cook food for them, at least ensure your child is not eating unhealthy food. Here are some foodstuffs which are not only good for health but also provides the scrumptious taste your little.

Milk :
Milk is highly necessary for the growing children. The main minerals in milk Calcium and Phosphorous are necessary for the development of healthy bones, teeth, and nails.
Besides this, it also contains various other essential nutrients like protein, zinc and vitamins A, B2 (riboflavin) and B12. Give whole milk to children up to two years of age. One to two glasses of milk daily is important for growing kids. If your kid does not love to have plain milk you can add some nuts or make milkshakes for better taste.
Eggs :
Eggs are the great choice for growing kids as it is high in protein. Protein is highly important for growing children. Eggs are also rich in vitamin B that plays a vital role in brain development and other body functions. Moreover, this foodstuff also contains omega-3 fatty acids, vitamin D, folate, zinc, iron, and selenium.
You can cook eggs in various ways like scrambled, fried, hard-boiled and as an omelet. You can serve one or two eggs in breakfast to your kid for boosting energy.
Broccoli :
Broccoli is one of the best sources of calcium – a necessary nutrient for growing children. This healthy vegetable is also enriched with fiber, which is necessary for growing children. Other main key nutrients in broccoli are iron, magnesium, phosphorous, zinc and folic acid. It is also a good source of vitamin B, which improves digestion and improve the functioning of the nervous system.
Give your growing child broccoli daily. If broccoli is eaten raw or lightly steamed, no other way can be healthier than this. Most of the babies deny eating broccoli so in such case you can add it to juice or soup.
Blueberries :
Blueberries are delicious and healthy foodstuff for growing kids. Berries are excellent in nutritional value and one of the best sources of antioxidants properties. This scrumptious fruit helps in removing harmful toxins from the body.
Blueberries have anti-diarrheal, antiviral and antibacterial properties and the high amount of manganese in them keeps the bones strong. The high vitamin C content supports the immune and digestive system. Children will love to have this tasty and sweet fruit. You can add berries to oatmeal, yogurt, and whole grain cereals.
Yogurt :
Yogurt has effective benefits for growing children. The good bacteria present in yogurt boost immunity and digestion. It also contains protein, carbohydrates, calcium, vitamin B, zinc, and phosphorus. Having yogurt daily also promotes healthy bones and strong teeth.
To give it more flavour you can add fruits like Strawberries, Grapes, Blueberries and Mango.
Oats :
Oats are considered one of the best foods that can provide enough energy to your kid. In some researches, it has been found that kids who eat oats, concentrate more in comparison to those who do not.
Oats are also high in nutrients like vitamins B and E, potassium and zinc that help brain development and functioning. Oats are also a good source of soluble and insoluble fibers which make your children feel full.
Cheese :
Cheese is a nutritious food that must be given to growing children. This dairy product is a good source of calcium, protein, vitamin B12 and phosphorus. Moreover, it is also a good substitute meat as it is a fine source of high quality and easily digestible protein.
You can serve food to your baby with cheese which gives extra nutrients to your kid.
