Home Remedies that will Provide Your Child Enough Relief in Fever
Fever is a common health issue among children. When it comes to fight fever most of the parents find difficulty to deal with. They usually get confused between traditional home remedies and morn medications.

Apply Cold Compress :
When your child is in fever, the first thing necessary to do is put a wet and cold cloth on its forehead. For this purpose, you have to put some cool water in a bowl. Optionally, you can also add a few tablespoons of vinegar to it. The acid present in it draws heat out of the skin.
Soak a clean washcloth in water and wring out the excess water. After this, place the wet cloth on your child’s forehead. Once the cloth gets warm, remove it and repeat again.
Drink More Fluids :
For children who suffer from the fever, it is important to increase their fluid intake. Intake of water and other fluids is also necessary to prevent dehydration which may lead to various other complications and delay in recovery. Besides this, you need to also make sure that your child is not sleeping directly under the fan.
Make sure air conditioner and fan are switched off. You need to ensure that your little is not shivering. Dress him in light clothing and make sure he is sleeping comfortably on a clean and soft bed. Cover your baby child with a blanket while sleeping.
Use Ginger :
Another good way to treat fever is to use ginger. It is an It helps the body eject heat, which in turn helps reduce a fever. It is enriched with antibacterial and antiviral properties which make it effective against infections. Moreover, it boosts the immune system that speeds up the recovery process.
Mix 2 tablespoons of ginger powder into a bathtub filled with warm water and soak your child in this bathwater for 10 minutes. After this, pat dry and cover your child completely with a blanket. Soon, you will find that your child starts sweating and fever comes down.
Alternatively, mix half teaspoon of ginger juice, 1 teaspoon of lemon juice and 1 tablespoon of honey. Give this mixture to your kid 2 or 3 times a day.
Feed Healthy Food :
If your child is in fever, make sure you are feeding him a healthy diet. In fever body becomes weak so, it is important to follow a nutritious diet. A healthy diet will help balance fluids and electrolytes of the body and boost the immune system.
Diet of your child should be high in calories, proteins, vitamins and other essential minerals. Include green vegetables, fruits and milk to your baby’s diet. Besides this, it is necessary to ensure that you are not offering spicy, oily and fatty food as it can aggravate the condition.
Take Basil :
Basil is a useful herb to bring down the fever in children. Its antibiotic and antibacterial properties can help get rid of the bacteria that is a reason for the fever. Furthermore, it boosts the immune system which is important for the healing process.
You need to put a handful of basil leaves in 2 cups of water and boil it until the solution is reduced to half. Before serving it your child add a little honey for some flavour.
Alternatively, you can also offer him some thoroughly washed basil leaves to chew. Another good option is to extract the juice from 5 to 7 basil leaves, then add a pinch of black pepper powder to it before giving it to your child.
